The board members of the Mario A. Finnell ALS Foundation met March 17, 2018 to review 2017 and plan community outreach and activities for the current year aligned with the mission of the foundation. The foundation guests included Tawana Birdine, the wife of Mr Robin Birdine, an ALS community patient. The family received a cash gift from the foundation.
 

The board also heard from Ms. Karen Farmer, an instructor at Parker University, who enriched the Board's awareness and education regarding the physiology of ALS. Additionally, where the medical community is currently as it relates to research and treatment of the disease.

It was a rewarding yet challenging time for the board. We left committed and eager to make 2018 a significant year ensuring the success of the Mario A. Finnell ALS Foundation mission!
